The U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and City Affairs will maintain a listening to on July 16 relating to Fb’s new cryptocurrency, Libra.
The listening to, “Analyzing Fb’s Proposed Digital Foreign money and Knowledge Privateness Issues,” comes within the wake of calls from members of Congress to extra intently look at Libra and its potential dangers. There have even been calls to halt work on the project till hearings are held.
In mild of these feedback, a Fb consultant stated that “we sit up for responding to lawmakers’ questions as this course of strikes ahead.”
