Black Friday is over and so is Cyber Monday. But there’s still one more deals holiday left, apparently, and it’s called Travel Deal Tuesday. Popularized by travel app Hopper, Travel Deal Tuesday is supposedly the best day of the year to save on flights.
Instead of offering deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, airlines tend to sell more tickets during the pocket of time when travelers have finished getting home after the Thanksgiving holiday but aren’t yet buying Christmas tickets. According to Hopper, the app tends to spot the most deals on this day in 2016 and 2017. Last year, it sent 1.1 million deal notifications to users on that day, almost 50 percent more than average.
