The first smartwatch to use Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor has been announced, reports 9to5Google. The Montblanc Summit 2 is a premium watch that’s available today starting at $995, and it will benefit from many of the features introduced by Qualcomm’s new chipset, including a low-power secondary processor (which Montblanc claims offers a week of battery life on “Time Only mode”) and a much richer ambient display than Qualcomm’s previous hardware.
Outside of the new processor, the Summit 2 includes a healthy spec bump over the original Summit. RAM has been upped from 512MB to 1GB, and internal storage has gone from 4GB to 8GB. This hardware is housed in a 14.3mm-thick case equipped with a 1.2-inch screen that runs Wear OS...
