Nvidia unveiled its new RTX 2080 earlier this week, but the company primarily focused on performance improvements for its new ray tracing support. That left many wondering just how big the performance gains will be for the vast majority of existing games that won’t be updated to support ray tracing. With preorders already live, Nvidia is now revealing that there will be some noticeable gains from a GTX 1080 to the new RTX 2080.
Games like PUBG, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Hitman 2, Wolfenstein II, and Shadow of War will be around 50 percent faster on an RTX 2080 at 4K resolution.
