Every piece of news that has come out about Paramount’s Sonic the Hedgehog movie has seemed surreal, and the latest cast announcement is no different: Ben Schwartz, of Parks and Recreation fame, will voice Sega’s speedy blue hedgehog.
Schwartz will be joining a cast that includes Jim Carrey as Doctor Robotnik, and while we don’t yet know who will be behind the franchise’s other classic characters, these two are bizarre enough picks to make anyone at least morbidly curious about the movie. According to Variety, the film, which is slated for a release in November 2019, will be a mix of live-action and CG. Directed by the Oscar-nominated Jeff Fowler, the movie will also feature James Marsden and Tika Sumpter.
